Ingredients:

  • 12 raw prawns (use as many as desired, I personally like a lot in my pasta)
  • 1 serving of pasta (I suggest linguine)
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon of basil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour (for thickening)
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup of parsley
  • White wine (not pictured)
  • olive oil (not pictured)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a saucepan on medium-high heat. Add the butter, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of white wine and bring to a boil.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add the prawns.
  4. Next, season the prawns with the Cajun seasoning, don’t be shy!
  5. When the prawns turn pink on one side, flip them over and cook for another minute. Then, remove them from the pan and leave the liquid.
  6. Add the heavy cream, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  7. Bring to a boil and gradually whisk in pinches of flour until the sauce thickens.
  8. Lower the heat to medium-low and add the prawns again.
  9. Toss the prawns to coat them with the sauce and serve over pasta. Top with grated parmesan cheese.
