- 320 g all-purpose flour (sifted)
- 4 large eggs
- 35g unsweetened cocoa powder + 35g extra flour
- 200 g sugar
- 250 ml of milk
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
- 250 ml of oil of your choice
- A pinch of salt
- Chocolate pieces (optional)
Instructions:
- Whisk the eggs and sugar:In a large bowl, beat the 4 eggs and sugar together using an electric mixer until the mixture becomes pale and frothy.
- Add the wet ingredients: Gradually mix the oil, milk, flour and baking powder, making sure everything is well mixed.
- Divide the dough: Separate the dough into two bowls. In the first bowl, add 35g of flour and mix. In the second bowl, add 35g of unsweetened cocoa powder and mix until smooth.
- Layer the dough: Butter and flour a 24 cm cake tin. Pour the vanilla and chocolate batter layers alternately into the tin to create the marbled effect.
