Ingredients:
- 80 g of semi-salted butter
- 70g of sugar
- 50g maple syrup
- 80g of praline
- 1 egg
- 240g flour
- 40 g of hazelnut powder
- 3g of baking soda
- Chocolate spread (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Start by freezing small spoonfuls of chocolate spread on a tray, each about a teaspoon. Freeze for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the sugar, maple syrup, butter and praline. Blend until smooth.
- Add the egg to the sugar mixture.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda and hazelnut powder. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring to form a smooth paste.
- Take around 80 g of dough, flatten it slightly and place a dab of frozen spread in the center. Wrap the dough around the chocolate to completely envelop it. Repeat with the rest of the dough and the dollops of chocolate.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Place the stuffed dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they have room to spread out.
- Bake for 14 minutes or until edges are golden brown and cookies are set.
- Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
