Ingredients:
- 113 grams of butter, room temperature
- 100 grams of white chocolate, divided (50 g to melt, 50 g chopped)
- 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Start by browning the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once golden, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a small bowl, mix 50 grams of white chocolate with the matcha powder. Pour the slightly cooled brown butter over this mixture, letting the residual heat melt the chocolate. Be careful that the butter is not too hot, as this could burn the matcha.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until frothy.
- Gently stir the matcha-chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well incorporated.
- Sift in the flour and salt, mixing until well combined. Add the remaining 50 grams of chopped white chocolate.
- Pour the batter into a prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in a preheated 175°C (350°F) oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan, then cut them into squares and serve.
