  2. Churning the ice cream:
    • Pour the cooled custard into an ice cream maker.
    • Add 1/3 cup dulce de leche.
    • Churn according to the ice cream maker's instructions.
  3. Assembly :
    • Transfer the churned ice cream to a saucepan.
    • Stir in the remaining 1/3 cup dulce de leche with a wooden spoon.
    • Freeze for at least 2 hours until set.
  4. Portion:
    • Pour the ice cream into a cup.
    • Create a well in the center with a spoon.
    • Pour a glass of hot espresso into the well.
